15 He said to Him, “O Lord, how shall I deliver Israel? Behold, my family is the least in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.” 16 But the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat Midian as one man.”
Gideon is called by God to something way over his head; save Israel. Imagine you or I being ask to “save” our nation. Unreal thought, isn’t it?
Gideon asks, politely but sincerely, “How is it possible for me to do this? How can I do the impossible?”
God’s answer? My presence goes with you.
It is the presence of God going with you that the releases the power of God to accomplish the call God has for you.
It is the presence of God that takes over where your natural abilities end, and intervenes in the most impossible of situations with miraculous effect.
It is the presence of God in a person’s life that transforms the most lowly, weak and unassuming into a “mighty warrior” (v.12)!
It is the presence of God that brings ministering angels into a situation because the task is not natural but supernatural.
If we are called to do what it is naturally impossible for us to do, the good news is God makes provision by bringing Himself by His Spirit, into our hopeless situation! Call on the presence of the Lord today!
PRAYER: Father, thank you for your presence. I ask you for the grace to walk in this today. Thank you for your enabling presence, In Jesus name, Amen.
